Welcome to Aspen -
The Power of Four

The Resort:

Aspen, as its tag line suggests is actually made up of four distinct ski areas, Ajax or Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snomass Mountains. Each area has its own characteristics and there is a tremendous amount of all types and classifications of terrain. There truly is something for everyone, and no chance of anyone running out of areas to explore. Aspen is a real skiers area.

Ajax Mountain, rises out of the heart of downtown Aspen and is famous for its steeps, bumps and incredible views, it  is exhilarating for skiers and snowboarders alike. Aspen Highlands, known as the locals’ favorite mountain features extreme terrain, groomed cruisers and breathtaking views of the Maroon Bells. For the ultimate skiing or snowboarding experience, hike up and drop into Highland Bowl. Buttermilk Mountain is the home of the ESPN Winter X Games, and is also a premier mountain for beginners. While experts frolic in the terrain park, the rest of the family can cruise on the wide, rolling trails. Snowmass Mountain, with 3,128 acres of cruisers, steeps, terrain parks and halfpipes, defies belief. So many runs, so much variety, and all of it fun for the entire family.

The town of Aspen itself has long been renowned for its high end clientele, and whilst this is still true, there is something in Aspen for everyone. There is a wide variety of lodging choices, and the town itself is compact, and easy to get around on foot. True, finding a parking spot can sometimes be tough, but if you are willing to take a stroll for a few blocks you are sure to find everything you could ever want in in the downtown area. The town itself sits at the head of the Roaring Fork river valley at the base of Independance Pass, and the Maroon Bells wilderness area, which is some of the most photographed scenes in Colorado.
