The Jewel in the crown of Summit County, Breckenridge has been THE destination since its beginnings in the Gold Rush of 1859. It is, first and foremost a real town. It still retains its Victorian charm, with more than 200 historic sites many dating back to those early days and still has the feel that will charm everyone who visits here.
After a hard day on the slopes, Breckenridge has much more to offer, whether you're looking for a burger and a beer, or a filet mignon and a fine wine, you'll find restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets in its quaint streets. There is also a wide selection of bars and clubs that cater to every possible whim. Many have live music with both local musicians and nationally known acts performing regularly at various venues around town.
